Playground

One of the biggest outward manifestations of Ellie being a toddler is her love of playgrounds. Each day at daycare (weather permitting) the children get free reign of the play area outside. Ellie (and all the children) love this time to climb, pick up rocks, bark dust and just plan be kids. During the summer months, I was always fishing little pebbles out of Ellie's cuffed capri pants and our washing machine has them still in it's recesses. Ellie also loves to play at playgrounds when she is not at school. She especially loves slides. Grandma Paula took her to the Head Start play area in September and Ellie couldn't get enough of the dirty old slide. She hit the same playground a few weeks later with dad and would sign, "MORE" for repeated use of her favorite piece of equipment. Ellie also likes swings. One of the nice things about the home we are very close to purchasing is that there is a small playground less than a block away. A couple weeks ago, Ellie and I went to test this facility out one afternoon. No swings but THREE slides. It's going to be a nice addition to our play if it ever warms up here.
